Dear friends,
The holiday season is a time of joy, generosity, and reflection at the Poverello Center. It’s when we come together to serve delicious holiday meals to hundreds of people, greet kind-hearted donors who bring socks and warm clothes, and feel immense gratitude for a community that truly cares.
But we know this season is also bittersweet. For many of our guests, the holidays can be a reminder of what they’ve lost. While the world sings about being home for the holidays, they find themselves seeking refuge in our shelter.
That’s why we work tirelessly to make the Poverello Center a place of warmth, dignity, and hope. This year, thanks to your support, we provided thousands of nights of safe shelter and served hundreds of nutritious meals to those in need. As we celebrate 50 years of service, we carry forward the lessons we’ve learned and the love you’ve shared with us.
Your kindness is the heart of everything we do. Together, we can create a brighter season for everyone in our community—because no one should feel alone during the holidays.
With gratitude and holiday blessings,
Jill
